I created my own mason jar planters by cutting a piece of barn wood at 19" and then attaching 3 metal hose clamps at 3", 9.5", and 13.75". Then I just went to the green house and got three house plants for $2.95 a piece and planted in some old jars I had downstairs! I put rocks in the bottom half of the jar for some sort of drainage for the soil so the plants are not sitting in a puddle of water. Cost $18
